GOOGLE DOCS
Sharing is caring!

This week's ICT tool is Google Docs!

Docs.Google.com is one of Google's amazing tools for education. Along with Google Presentations, Google Forms, and many other tools, this programme allows you to work on documents with multiple people at the same time. One person can set up a document, presentation, or folder and invite other people through an e-mail or by sharing a link. Subsequently, all people with access to the document can add, delete or adjust things in the document.

If you're a teacher, students can set up a document and share it with you. You can provide feedback online by choosing the 'suggesting' tool. This will enable you to make adjustments while it's still visible what you've changed. In this way the students can see what they have done wrong (or right!) and what it should be.

In my experience, Google Docs is a unique time-saving tool that allows easy feedback and enables students to work collaboratively.

Requirements:
- Internet connection
- Laptop/tablet (laptop is prefered because of the typing)
- Google account

Pros:
- Easy collaborative work
- Free!
- Easy to provide feedback
- Easy to use and time saving
- File can be downloaded as Word document

Cons:
- Does not all have the features e.g. Microsoft Word has
- Can only be used online
- Requires sign in by Google

Have you ever used Google Docs? Please leave a comment!

Any suggestions for another ICT tool? Please let me know!
