Online Assignments

Picture
Although certain assignments – especially in books – can still be done when at home, it can also be very useful to use online tools. Using tools will allow you to keep an overview of your students’ answers and anticipate on that. You can give feedback, adjust your instruction for the next day based on students’ scores, and you can keep an overview of who is doing the work.

The easiest tools to create assignments online, are Google or Microsoft Forms. In Google Forms, you simply set up a form and select ‘quiz’ in the settings. This will turn your form into a quiz. If you are working with Microsoft, you can select the option ‘create a new quiz’ and go from there. In both tools, you can create your own questions, and add feedback for both the correct and incorrect answers, given students insight in how they could improve their understanding of the material.

Apart from the more basic tools, you can also still use games to test students’ knowledge. Kahoot and Quizizz for example, can also be used without being in the classroom. You can simply send your students a link, and they can test their knowledge in a competitive game.

Check out the instruction videos below to see how you can set up a Google or MS Forms!
